VEN offers "free" computer through links with PeoplePC. PeoplePC does require that the recipient sign up for a 24 month internet access contract at $29 per month.
VEN is working on a plan that involves offering a truly free computer in exchange for having advertising on the screen saver and border of the computer during use.
